- How should we dress for the sail?

As far as your personal comfort is concerned, you will almost always feel cooler on the water than land. This is due to water temperature. It is especially pronounced in the Spring when the water is still quite cool. In the Fall, it can be warmer on the water, since it takes time for the water to cool. As a general rule, bring an extra layer. We provide comfortable seats and fleece blankets for those cool days.

Footware is also important from a comfort and safety perspective. Boat shoes and sneakers with light colored soles work well. If some of your passengers arrive with inappropriate boat shoes (heels, black bottoms, etc.), it’s not not an show-stopper. A barefoot sail is wonderful!

- Can I help sail the boat?

We encourage your participation in the sailing experience. Your Captain is also a sailing instructor. He welcomes and encourages participation. If you are already an experienced sailor, take over the helm and sail adjustments! It’s your charter!

- Do you require a deposit?

Yes. A minimum $150 deposit is required.

- What is you cancellation policy?

A customer can cancel a sail for any reason, up to 48 hours before departure time, and either reschedule, or receive a full refund. If it is less than 48 hours, we can not issue a refund due to lost business opportunity, however, you can reschedule.

Cancellations due to the weather are normally made the morning of the sail based on the current weather forecasts. If weather.com indicates a greater than 40% chance of rain, you may cancel. We may cancel if we believe the conditions would not be comfortable or safe due to rain, lightning, high winds or sea conditions. You will then be able to get a full refund or reschedule.

- Can we bring our own food and alcohol?

Certainly. We supply refreshments. If you want to bring a meal or something special to eat, I encourage you to avoid big, messy dishes with hot sauces, etc. Salads, platters, sandwiches, etc. are great. We supply plates, cutlery, napkins, glasses, etc.

Feel free to bring wine, beer, liquor. etc. There is a small refrigerator, and a good size cooler if all does not fit in the fridge. We provide ice to keep your food and liquids cool. If this is a special occasion, there is an ice bucket and champagne flutes.

- Is it OK to bring small children aboard?

Yes. Children are very welcome. We do require all children under 12 to wear a life jacket while on deck. Just let us know ahead of time how many young children will be on board.
